His Majesty’s visit to Sherubtse

29 September, 2020.

As the sun gleamed from behind the eastern horizon, all the sherubtsian started preparing to receive royal audience. Everyone was elated at the thought of receiving words of wisdom from the compassionate Dharma king.

As the first years got seated in the MPH, we patiently waited for HM to make his gracious presence and as expected, soon HM visited us as simply as he would do. Unguarded and plain.

The first thing his good self shared was a story. The story was themed to teach us about our expectations and our attitude towards achieving it.
He stressed that, it is always wise to work towards what we want with right dedication and consistency. If our want is something contrary to how we work we can never attain it.

The countries around the world are into rate-race and Bhutan also should somehow run into the same bandwagon as the years progress. That is why, HM also talked about why we should focus on future and what will be the image of the near future, best from now itself, so that we go hand in hand with what is progressing in todays world.

He pointed that, “what transpires within the next three years will define who you will become”. True, I felt energy gushing from inside as he talked, because what actually will transpire for the next three years of our stay in Sherubtse is going to have a huge impact on our future life.

HMs visit was brief, so was majesty’s speech. However, in what little his good self shared left a bigger imprint on us.

Thank you Your majesty!
